Diana Butler Bass to speak at the November Conference

Diana Butler Bass is an author, speaker, and independent scholar specializing in American religion and culture.

We've invited her to describe her understanding of how the North American church is changing, and how those changes require different knowledge and skills from church leaders. In a time when the tried and true doesn't always seem to be working, Bass will share some success stories, and offer insight into how those of us who train ministry leaders can build on these to adapt our course offerings.

Be sure to register for this session, which includes light refreshments and a cash bar, when you complete your REA Conference registration.

At a Friday morning workshop, ALLLM Officers Sarah Erickson, Stephen Fetter and Jim Haun will facilitate discussion reflecting on Bass’s Thursday evening presentation. We’ll consider the implications of her observations and recommendations for our educational and pastoral contexts and how we may apply them in our particular settings.
